Role Overview

Role Summary

We are seeking dynamic, result-oriented, and high-performing Business Development Managers (BDMs) to drive growth across key tech and engineering verticals. Depending on your background, you will specialize in one of our specific sectors (Auxiliary, Audio Visual, HVAC, Lighting, SaaS/HR Software, or Trade & Commercial).

In this role, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle — from aggressive lead generation and technical consulting to closing complex commercial contracts and nurturing long-term stakeholder relationships.

General Qualifications

Across all verticals, successful candidates must possess:

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in B2B sales, corporate sales, account management, or business development.
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a proven ability to handle objections and close complex deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in handling high-stakes presentations and corporate networking.
  • Must be willing to travel to various site locations for inspections, audits, and client meetings.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, and highly capable of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Specialized Vertical Tracks
  1. Auxiliary Systems
  • Target Focus: Secondary/add-on products, services, memberships, or niche partnerships that enhance the core business value proposition.
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience preferably within an auxiliary, or service-heavy industry.
  • Ability to read floor plans, CAD drawings, and technical schematics.
  • Key Responsibilities: Proactively hunt for new B2B leads, bundle or "upsell" auxiliary services during the primary sales process, draft commercial proposals/SLAs, and track conversion rates.
  1. Audio Visual (AV) Systems
  • Target Focus: Securing new business opportunities with the commercial, educational, and hospitality sectors for integrated AV solutions (Zoom rooms, MS Teams rooms, digital signage).
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience specifically within Audio Visual, ICT, or ELV (Extra Low Voltage) industries.
  • Understanding of AV signals (HDMI, Display Port) and control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX).
  • Ability to read floor plans, CAD drawings, and technical schematics.
  • Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial site inspections for mounting/cabling constraints, collaborate with engineering to develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and demystify complex AV concepts for non-technical clients.
  1. HVAC Systems
  • Target Focus: Building a robust pipeline of commercial or residential clients, developers, and contractors to promote energy-efficient climate/HVAC solutions.
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • A solid technical background is highly preferred to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and complex system specifications.
  • Key Responsibilities: Research commercial developments or retrofits, conduct site surveys highlighting energy efficiency and ROI, and work closely with estimating/MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) consultants to deliver precise project quotes.
  1. Lighting Solutions
  • Target Focus: Commercial, industrial, and residential lighting sectors, ensuring the company’s lighting solutions are specified and purchased for large-scale projects.
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Sales experience specifically within the Lighting, Electrical, or Construction industries.
  • Strong understanding of LED technology, luminaires, color temperature, and lighting control systems. Familiarity with local energy codes and standards.
  • Key Responsibilities: Target LED retrofits and smart lighting projects; educate/influence architects, electrical engineers, and lighting designers; and build partnerships with electrical wholesalers and distributors.
  1. Software Services / SaaS
  • Target Focus: Driving the growth of our HR technology suite (HRDOTNET and other HR software) by helping HR leaders and business owners automate recruitment, payroll, and performance workflows.
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Experience in SaaS sales is a strong advantage; open to HR practitioners looking to pivot into Tech.
  • Ability to quickly learn software interfaces and comfort using CRM tools.
  • Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-volume, engaging software product demonstrations; perform consultative selling by analyzing client HR workflows; manage recurring revenue pipelines; and coordinate smooth onboarding transitions with the Customer Success team.
  1. Trade and Commercial Group
  • Target Focus: Identifying macro market opportunities, driving strategic commercial partnerships, and implementing broad sales strategies to meet specific commercial targets.
  • Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex commercial agreements and influence high-level stakeholders.
  • Key Responsibilities: Penetrate new market segments, manage a large portfolio of commercial accounts for long-term retention, monitor competitive industry trends/economic shifts, and collaborate across Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure viable commercial proposals.
