About the Role:

Digital8 Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intern to support various aspects of our broadcast and content creation processes. This is an excellent opportunity for students in Communication, Journalism, Broadcasting, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic media environment and contribute to the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms.

What you'll be doing:

• Production Support:
• Assisting producers and other production staff with pre-production planning, including research, scheduling, and coordination.
• Providing on-set support during live and recorded broadcasts, assisting with equipment setup, talent coordination, and crowd control (if applicable).
• Taking notes and minutes during production meetings.
• Assisting with the organization and distribution of scripts and other production documents.
• Running errands and performing administrative tasks to support the production team.
• Supporting the team in social media management, including posting, content writing, and audience engagement.
• Content & Editorial Assistance:
• Assisting writers and content creators with basic research and fact-checking.
• Transcribing interviews and other audio/video content.
• Assisting with the formatting and basic editing of written content for various platforms.
• Potentially assisting with social media content creation and scheduling.
• Learning about content management systems and website posting procedures.
• Live Broadcast Support:
• Assisting the technical team with basic equipment setup and breakdown for live broadcasts.
• Learning about the roles of different crew members during a live production (e.g., camera operators, audio technicians, CharGen operators).
• Potentially assisting with cueing talent or managing on-screen graphics under supervision.
