We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, assisting employees with payroll-related concerns, and supporting payroll compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Process employee payroll entries, and payroll computations.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Upload and distribute payslips on payroll crediting dates.
- Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and employee status updates.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Manage employee payroll deductions and benefit contributions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, payslips, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll data in QuickBooks and other payroll systems.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in payroll audits and report preparation.
- Recommend improvements to payroll processes and procedures.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or a related role.
- Knowledge of payroll procedures, statutory deductions, and labor compliance is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
