General Senior Accountant
Own the Numbers. Lead the Team. Keep Us Compliant.
Are you an experienced accountant who loves the balance between hands-on validation and team leadership? Do you take pride in accurate financial statements, timely tax filings, and clean reconciliations? And are you ready to move beyond being a solo contributor to supervising, coaching, and ensuring a whole business unit runs smoothly?
We’re looking for a General Senior Accountant to take charge of day‑to‑day accounting operations for one of our business units. You’ll be the go‑to person for financial accuracy, tax compliance, and team guidance. If you have at least two years of solid accounting experience (CPA preferred) and a desire to grow into a supervisory role, this is your next step.
What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Analysis- Compile, analyze, and generate periodic and annual financial statements, tax reports, and special financial reports for your assigned business unit.
- Review and analyze discrepancies in receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, inventory, and intercompany accounts.
- Perform daily validation of check vouchers, journal vouchers, payroll, inventory, and other transactions – always in line with GAAP.
- Ensure timely compliance with all tax and government reportorial requirements (BIR, etc.).
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard company assets through established controls.
- Supervise and guide bookkeepers and accounting staff – ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Coach your team to foster collaboration and meet objectives.
- Interact and coordinate with internal and external auditors to complete audits successfully.
- Work closely with marketing on sales, collections, SOA distribution, and reconciliation of problematic customer accounts.
- Recommend financial actions and improvements to accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain systematic, organized filing for easy retrieval and future use.
- Take on other duties assigned by your superior – we value flexibility and initiative.
What You’ll Need
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related course.
- CPA is preferred – but strong experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as an Accountant – in general accounting, financial reporting, or tax.
- High attention to detail, deadline-oriented, strong analytical, good time management, and strong reporting skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and multitask effectively.
- Systems knowledge – comfortable with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Reliable, with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
- Physically and mentally healthy; available for overtime when needed (e.g., month-end closing, tax deadlines).
- Computer literate with hands-on experience in MS Office applications.
- Supervisory experience – You’ll lead and coach a team, not just process transactions.
- Ownership of a business unit – Full accountability for one unit’s financial accuracy and compliance.
- Exposure to tax, audit, and intercompany – Build a well-rounded accounting career.
- Career path – Work under an Accounting Superintendent with clear growth to higher roles.
- Stable, process-driven environment – We value accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.
- Supportive culture – You’ll have the tools and guidance to succeed.
