Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain sewage treatment plant equipment and systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation
- Perform routine inspections of pumps, valves, tanks, and other mechanical equipment
- Conduct regular testing of wastewater for quality, chemical levels, and compliance with environmental standards
- Adjust chemical dosing, aeration, and filtration processes as necessary to meet effluent standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues in the treatment plant
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of daily plant operations and laboratory results
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and sludge in accordance with safety protocols
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of equipment and plant areas
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate with environmental regulatory agencies during inspections or reporting requirements
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols to prevent contamination and accidents
- Recommend process improvements to optimize plant efficiency and compliance
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or vocational/technical certification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- With experience operating sewage or wastewater treatment facilities preferred
