Tax compliance associate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate tax reports from the accounting system and prepare journal entries
• Check the accuracy of the tax reports generated from the accounting system and prepare tax calculations for the following tax types:
• Income tax
• Value-Added Tax
• Expanded Withholding Tax
• Final Withholding VAT
• Final Withholding Tax
• Withholding Tax on Compensation
• Fringe Benefits Tax
• Documentary Stamp Tax
• Prepare related alpha lists and summary lists for BIR tax returns
• Compile invoice support for Input VAT claims and identify discrepancies, if any
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax regulations and deadlines
• Maintain organized tax records and supporting documents, including filing, sorting, scanning, and handling tax-related documents.
• Prepare invoices
• Assist during tax audits and regulatory inquiries
• Perform other duties from time to time as assigned/delegated by the superiors.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related course
• Experience in Tax filing and compliance
• CPA license is an advantage
• Experience working in an accounting firm is an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft office and general computer applications
• Skilled in Microsoft (Basic formulas, data entry, spreadsheets, pivot tables)
• Strong typing and accurate data entry skills
• High level of accuracy and consistency in handling data
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity
• Able to work under pressure and meet BIR and DOTR deadlines
• Has confidence and good communicate skills when dealing with BIR and DOTR personnel
• Responds positively to feedback and instructions; willing to learn
