The Cybersecurity and Training Coordinator works under the Director of Global InfoSec and Platform Experience leadership to manage and execute cybersecurity awareness programs for the organization and drive a security-minded culture across workforce members (employees, contractors, and third parties).
The coordinator works with internal stakeholders and external cybersecurity awareness vendors to ensure the program is aligned with leadership’s expectations. Coordinators in this role emphasize employee behavioral change by providing successful training and education content focused on mitigating business risk.
Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with risk management, audit and compliance, security teams, and business leaders to align security awareness and education initiatives focused on behavioral change.
- Measure the effectiveness of the awareness and training program, make recommendations, and execute change.
- Complete regulatory obligations for employee awareness and training, but then pivot to create and offer compelling and forward-thinking content exceeding minimum standards.
- Assess the cybersecurity threat landscape in coordination with subject matter experts and align the program with content focused on reducing risk.
- Create content that employees can comprehend, regardless of their level of cybersecurity knowledge.
- Construct content around key areas of corporate risk, such as phishing, data protection, password management, social media, and general cybersecurity hygiene.
- Maintain a program that delivers cybersecurity awareness and training on time and within budget.
- Keep education and awareness materials interesting, while accommodating different learning methods.
- Disseminate strong cybersecurity content across globally diverse teams using different mediums, including, but not limited to, written and visual (video/images).
- Interest non-cybersecurity workers in becoming champions and ambassadors for the security program.
- Offer workshops and interactive sessions, including gamification, tabletop exercises, guest speakers and general awareness training across abroad range of business and personal security topics for the workforce.
- Pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement related to security posture and risk management/acceptance.
- Create content to provide baseline knowledge and then fine-tune to create role-specific training and education.
- Maintain a high degree of knowledge with current and proposed security changes impacting regulatory, privacy, and security industry best practice guidance.
- Influence and validate metrics used in the assessment of security program success, and regularly report to security and business leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Positions on this level have advanced knowledge and experience, and participate in/lead the development of new solutions/projects.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate lower-level specialists, being a single point of contact in complex matters.
- Coordinates the daily operations, enables and oversees the implementation of short to medium-term activities within the team.
- Manages a mixed team of Specialist and Support jobs with full employee lifecycle responsibility.
