Architectural Drafter (or CAD Technician)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Drafter / CAD Technician to join our design team. In this role, you will transform conceptual sketches and architectural designs into precise technical drawings and construction documents. Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, you’ll help bring residential and commercial projects from concept to reality.

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD (and, optionally, Revit or other BIM software).
• Interpret architects’ sketches, design briefs, and technical specifications.
• Develop detailed layout plans for walls, structural elements, plumbing, electrical systems, and interior features.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to refine and revise drawings based on project requirements.
• Verify that all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date project documentation and version control.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials, permit applications, and construction packages as needed.

• Diploma, Associate’s degree, or certificate in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or other BIM tools is a plus.
• Solid understanding of building construction methods, materials, and structural principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong spatial reasoning, and an eye for precision.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
