A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
As an Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and compliance with financial controls. You'll mentor a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced shared services environment.
YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as the subject matter expert for all accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and efficient operations
- Lead and mentor team members by providing direction on task prioritization, performance, and development
- Manage escalations and resolve complex issues in a timely and professional manner
- Drive process improvements and contribute to continuous optimization initiatives within the AP function
- Oversee payment processes and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds
- Reconcile accounts payable records with the general ledger and other financial data sources
- Support month end close activities and ensure adherence to established deadlines
- Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring compliance and documentation readiness
- Develop and maintain system and process documentation across all AP functions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business and campaign requirements
- Proven experience leading end-to-end Accounts Payable operations
- Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management experience
- Experience in a BPO or shared services environment
- Experience managing escalations and resolving complex issues
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to multinational finance operations
- Experience supporting process improvements or migration projects is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
