Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team and support our Tax Assistant Manager and Tax Manager with all the internal and external tax compliance obligations. This includes the on time and accurate filing of Philippine taxes such as corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), withholding taxes and local business taxes, among others.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparation of tax returns for filing with the BIR, including verification and checking of supporting transaction documents and the preparation of required attachments for submission {e.g. Monthly Alphalist of Payees (MAP), Quarterly Alphalist, (QAP), Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (SAWT), Summary List of Sales (SLS), Summary List of Purchases (SLP), Alphalist of Payees, etc.}
- Preparation of monthly estimates of tax payments and tax provisioning entries
- Maintenance of tax records, books of accounts, reports and other related materials
- Preparation of documentary requirements needed in the annual renewal of business permits with the local government
- Preparation of related reports for government agencies as compliance on statutory requirements
- Prepare audit schedules, reports and documents required by BIR during tax audit
- Assist the Tax Assistant Manager and Tax Manager in handling tax related queries from other departments, providing accurate and timely information to support inter-departmental needs and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Support tax work for other region offices and perform other ad hoc tasks that may be assigned
- Graduate of BS Accountancy (Preferably a Certified Public Accountant)
- Minimum of 3 years' work experience in an audit/accounting firm handling Philippine taxes
- Knowledgeable with Philippines Tax Regulations
- Prior experience liaising with the BIR and local government units would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, open communication
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
Work schedule: Monday to Friday / 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
