The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, cost control, safety compliance, and achievement of business objectives. The role involves leading multiple departments, driving operational excellence, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field
  2. At least 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 3-5 years in a senior managerial role
  3. Strong leadership decision-making, and people management skills
  4. Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  5. Knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and maintenance operations
  6. Familiarity with OSHA, DOLE, DENR, and other regulatory compliance requirements
  7. Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous programs is an advantage

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, warehouse, logistics, quality assurance, and administration
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets and business goals.
  3. Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources
  4. Monitor production schedules, output, downtime, and overall plant performance
  5. Implement cost control measures and improve operational efficiency
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards
  7. Enforce workplace safety, health, and environmental standards
  8. Lead quality control initiatives to maintain product standards and customer satisfaction
  9. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and plant financial performance
  10. Lead, coach, and evaluate departmental performance
  11. Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, and HR departments for smooth operations
  12. Prepare management reports on production, efficiency, expenses, and performance metrics
  13. Handle escalated operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly
  14. Perform other tasks, duties, or special assignments as may be assigned by management from time to time
