The Safety Manager oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies. The role is responsible for minimizing workplace hazards and promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.
Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA-type or local DOLE safety rules)
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with corrective actions
Conduct safety training, orientations, and drills for employees
Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation for audits and inspections
Coordinate with government agencies and external auditors regarding safety compliance
Recommend improvements to reduce workplace risks and hazards
Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety protocols
Lead safety committees and emergency response planning
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related fieldCertification in Safety Officer training (preferred or required depending on local law)
DOLE-accredited Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioner
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
Experience in safety management or industrial safety role
Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to conduct training and enforce compliance effectively
Preferred DOLE Accredited Safety Practitioner
Willing to relocated as necessary
