Production engineer

Job Description

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed production plans for ship sections (hull, piping, outfitting, etc.)
• Coordinate timelines to meet delivery deadlines
• Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently

1. Process Optimization

• Analyze and improve shipbuilding processes (welding, cutting, assembly)
• Implement lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Reduce waste, rework, and production delays

1. Material & Resource Management

• Ensure timely availability of raw materials (steel plates, pipes, machinery)
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams
• Monitor inventory and minimize shortages

1. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce safety protocols in shipyard operations
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards
• Promote environmentally responsible practices

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture/Marine Engineer/Marine Transportation/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Industrial/ECE)

Registered Engineer is an advantage

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Willing to be trained and able to work with minimum supervision

Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
