This role ensures the right products are available in the right stores at the right time by managing assortment planning, monitoring inventory flow, and supporting SKU lifecycle decisions from launch to markdown. The Merchandising Specialist works closely with store operations, marketing, and supply chain to align product availability with sales performance, customer demand, and seasonal priorities, while providing insights to drive sell-through and optimize retail productivity.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a 4-year course, preferably in business, supply chain, retail management, marketing, or other relevant fields.
• With at least 3 years of work experience in a related industry, such as retail, optical, fashion, or other sectors of comparable size, complexity, and significance.
• With a proven track record of leading teams and/or projects.
• Well-versed in merchandising concepts such as merchandise planning, inventory management, and allocation.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
• Above-average communication skills – both written and oral – across all levels of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Merchandise Planning Support: Assist in planning and refining product assortments per store format, based on sales trends, seasonal shifts, customer profiles, and brand strategy.
• Assortment Execution & Inventory Coordination: Oversee stock allocation and replenishment across stores, ensuring timely availability and balanced inventory levels per location and category.
• SKU Lifecycle Management: Track performance of active SKUs, recommend replenishments, markdowns, or phase-outs, and support planning for new product launches and in-store rollout.
• Sell-Through Analysis & Reporting: Monitor store-level sell-through, identify high/low-performing SKUs, and provide insights to guide merchandising decisions and optimize inventory productivity.
• Visual Alignment & Campaign Coordination: Coordinate with marketing and VM teams to ensure product availability aligns with campaign timelines, seasonal drops, and visual requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, logistics, and store teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandising strategies and timely resolution of stock-related issues.
• Documentation & Systems Support: Maintain updated records of assortment plans, pricing files, and allocation trackers to support accuracy and efficiency in execution.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility to take on additional tasks or special projects as needed to support business objectives.
