Software Engineer

WIND’S GATE PHILS SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INC. is currently seeking talented software engineers to join our team. We are a company based in the Philippines, particularly in Cebu, offering high-quality software development services. We are now looking for engineers to participate in a project for the Japanese financial securities industry.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications for financial systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams/departments
• Implement features using modern frameworks and best practices
• Apply domain-driven design (DDD) principles in system architecture
• Build and maintain APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards
• Contribute to system design discussions and technical decisions

Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or its equivalent.
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with backend frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Spring Boot, or Laravel)
• Experience building APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Understanding of Git and version control workflows

• Experience with Next.js or modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
• Experience in financial systems or high-security applications
• Familiarity with Docker / cloud environments (AWS, GRAFANA etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills (especially working with Japanese teams is a plus)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Location:

• Cebu Exchange Building, I.T. Park, Lahug, Cebu City

Employment Type:

• Full-time (with a 3 months probationary period)
• On- site work. Applicants who are seeking remote work arrangements need not apply. We are looking for candidates who are available to work at our physical office location.
