Role Overview
We are seeking a Researcher – Knowledge Products to support the creation of issue papers, discussion pieces, and long-form reports that inform strategic decisions and elevate thought leadership. This is a part-time role with an estimated commitment of 20 hours per week, but the focus will be on meeting key deliverables rather than strict hourly tracking.
This opportunity is open to early- and mid-career professionals, as well as students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience. We especially welcome applicants passionate about sustainable development and research communication.
What You’ll Do
Develop Knowledge Products- Produce two monthly issue papers on priority topics
- Craft one monthly discussion paper on emerging challenges and solutions
- Deliver one quarterly long-form report with deep analysis and data synthesis
- Conduct weekly news tracking on policy, markets, and innovation
- Summarize updates from key experts and institutions (e.g., via LinkedIn)
- Share timely research digests with internal and external stakeholders
- Align deliverables with senior associates and team leads
- Help refine content for clarity, relevance, and strategic value
- Support recruitment of junior researchers or interns (especially in Baguio City)
- Assist in organizing webinars, workshops, and consultations
- Track deliverables through structured review cycles (First draft → 50% → Second version → Final version)
What You’ll Need
Education- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Bachelor's program in Journalism, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or related fields
- Graduate-level studies are a plus, but not required
- 1–4 years in research, writing, consulting, or related academic/professional work
- Applications from students with strong writing portfolios or research backgrounds are encouraged
- Excellent writing, synthesis, and research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and receptive to feedback
- Capable of meeting deadlines independently while collaborating effectively
- Background in energy, infrastructure, governance, or sustainability sectors
- Experience writing for academic, policy, or public-facing audiences
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, STATA, or R
- Exposure to stakeholder engagement, event support, or donor communications
Additional Information
Work Setup- Hybrid: Occasional in-person meetings in Ortigas, Metro Manila
- Remote: Fully online with regular virtual check-ins
- Estimated at 20 hours per week, with flexibility depending on your availability and project needs
- Emphasis is placed on delivering high-quality outputs rather than adhering to fixed working hours
- Occasional evening or late-afternoon calls may be scheduled for international coordination
