Safety officer

Job Description

• Conduct workplace risk assessments and identify potential hazards
• Develop, implement, and enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures
• Perform regular inspections of workplaces, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry health and safety regulations
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures
• Conduct safety orientations, training sessions, and awareness programs for employees
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate or reduce workplace hazards
• Monitor the proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
• Coordinate emergency preparedness programs, evacuation drills, and response procedures
• Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and health

• Certified Safety Officer
• With at least 2–4 years of relevant work experience in occupational health and safety
• Knowledgeable in workplace safety regulations and compliance standards
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct safety training and incident investigations
