About the role
DDC Coolmakers & Powerbuilders Corporation is seeking a skilled Ref/Aircon Technician to join our growing team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive reliable air conditioning and refrigeration services.As a Ref/Aircon Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of refrigeration and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with cooling systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting components for wear and damage
- Recharge refrigeration and air conditioning systems with appropriate refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Test system performance and functionality to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency
- Troubleshoot complex cooling system issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job
- Communicate with clients regarding service findings, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times
- Assist with emergency repair calls and provide after-hours support when required
- Completed technical training or certification in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Valid refrigeration technician license or certification as required by local regulations in the Philippines
- Minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience working with air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and cooling system operation
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, gauges, thermometers, and other specialist tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and system documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary
- Valid driver's license and reliability in meeting job site schedules
- Knowledge of environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling is highly desirable
