A Speech Therapist, also known as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. They develop personalized therapy plans to help individuals improve their verbal and non-verbal skills, overcome developmental or injury-related challenges, and safely consume food and drinks
Qualifications/Requirements
Educational Background- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Pathology, or equivalent
- Degree must be from a recognized institution (e.g., University of the Philippines Manila, University of Santo Tomas)
- Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (RSLP)
- Must have passed the Philippine Speech-Language Pathology Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission
- Updated PRC ID and license
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience in pediatric, early intervention, or school-based therapy is an advantage
- Experience handling cases such as:
- Speech delay
- Language disorders
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Feeding and swallowing difficulties
