Technical Services Manager (Electrical Engineer with Data Center xp)

About the role

Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a Technical Services Manager with specialised expertise in electrical engineering and data center operations. This is a full-time position based in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines.

This position is strategically important to our property services division, as it directly impacts client satisfaction, system uptime, and the overall performance of our managed facilities.

1. Oversee and manage all electrical systems, infrastructure, and maintenance operations within data center facilities
2. Supervise technical teams responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, power distribution systems, and backup power solutions
3. Monitor power consumption, efficiency metrics, and energy management to optimise operational costs and sustainability
4. Develop and implement technical service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols aligned with industry best practices
5. Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical infrastructure to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
6. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external contractors for specialised electrical work, repairs, and system upgrades
7. Prepare technical reports, performance metrics, and recommendations for senior management and clients
8. Respond to and resolve critical technical issues affecting data center operations, including emergency power management
9. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
10. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior technical staff and engineers
11. Collaborate with facilities management teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical services with overall property operations

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
2. Professional Engineer (PE) or similar electrical engineering certification is highly desirable
3. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in data center or mission-critical facility management
4. Proven expertise in data center electrical infrastructure, including UPS systems, power distribution units (PDUs), generator systems, and redundancy design
5. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and compliance requirements (such as IEEE, IEC, and local electrical codes)
6. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing technical teams
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive situations
8. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
9. Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and technical documentation
10. Knowledge of energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable facility practices
11. Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and integration with electrical infrastructure
