JOB DESCRIPTION

The Audio Visual Associate operates and maintains equipment used to amplify, record and display sounds and images at live events. They may operate sound equipment for speeches and presentations, use video and photo cameras to shoot images or serve as videographers for certain events.

They must be able to transport, assemble, maintain and conduct basic repair on multimedia production equipment. Knowledge of camera and lighting techniques is essential, and familiarity with editing equipment and software may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regularly check the board for any possible events that require set-up assistance.
  • Update cinema and trailer schedule.
  • Periodically visit the casino, hotel and mall area for any possible breakdown of LCD ads and promotion materials.
  • Timely set-up of projector screen / machine on certain events.
  • Diagnose / update and resolve media system problems (media signage) for hotel and casino.
  • Set up and load video / camera for scheduled production, broadcasting or shooting.
  • Set-up three (3) cameras for baccarat or poker tournaments.
  • Respond to maintenance calls from hotel regarding TV units with unresponsive video ads.
  • Perform routine cleaning and minor repairs of audio and video equipment.
  • Assist in visual merchandising of sets depending on the event.
  • Compress, digitize, duplicate and store video / audio data.
  • Mix and regulate sound inputs and feeds, or coordinate audio feeds with any LCD/Video wall pictures.
  • Record and edit audio material such as movie soundtracks using audio recording and editing equipment.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing video and sound feeds and notify Audio Visual Officer / Assistant Manager / Manager of any possible problems.
  • Responsible for inventory of audio / video and other related materials.
  • Educate users of audio / video about service policies and procedures.
  • Notify the supervisor of any major equipment repairs needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia or other similar courses
  • Preferably five (5) years experience in the same field.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of editing and cinematography.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to deliver results.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Accountability and the ability to stand firm on decisions and difficult issues when required.
  • Collaborative and a team player.
  • Adaptable and can handle stressful and high pressure situations.
