Legal Manager

The Legal Manager is responsible for handling litigation, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance and other legal and compliance matters. He/she will serve as the Data Protection Officer, ensuring adherence to privacy laws and responding to breaches.
He/she will supervise staff, providing opinions with compliance and documentation efforts.
Job Description- Manage judicial and administrative cases, representing the organization in court proceedings, hearings, and other legal forums to protect the company’s interests.
- Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to manage legal risks and handle external legal matters.
- Conceptualize and lead compliance-related projects and initiatives, ensuring organizational adherence to corporate policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate settlements and legal agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes while minimizing legal risks and liabilities.
- Provide written and verbal legal and compliance opinions to management and departments on a wide range of legal issues, ensuring decisions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee compliance with data privacy laws and leading initiatives to protect personal and sensitive information, implement data protection policies, manage breach incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and other legal correspondence, to safeguard the company’s legal position.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations and recommend necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- At least five (5) years experience as a lawyer, inclusive of at least two (2) years experience in in-house practice.
- With relevant experience in legal practice, with a strong focus on corporate law, data privacy, labor law, or related fields.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management.
- DPO Training and certifications programs are an advantage
Work Setup:
- Full ONSITE Job
- Willing to work both in BGC Taguig City and Quezon City sites
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm working Hours (Monday - Friday)
