Legal & Litigation Counsel

The ideal candidate has solid litigation experience, strong advisory capability, and the ability to manage legal matters independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advisory support to internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, Compliance, and Operations.
• Support HR on labor and employment matters, including contract reviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and disputes.
• Provide legal guidance to the Finance team on contracts, transactions, and governance‑related matters.
• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Audit to align legal advice with regulatory and control requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal documents, and internal policies.
• Handle litigation matters end‑to‑end, including coordination with external counsel.
• Personally attend and manage court hearings as required.
• Identify legal risks and provide practical, business‑oriented solutions.

Qualifications:

• Philippine‑licensed lawyer with 3–5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• At least 1 year of focused litigation experience, with ongoing court exposure.
• Background in banking or financial services is preferred but not required.
• Open to candidates from law firms, particularly those handling banking or financial institution clients.
• Strong working knowledge of labor, civil, and commercial laws.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in BGC.
