JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement/ Purchasing Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices. The role involves identifying purchasing trends, optimizing procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards to support operational needs efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions by analyzing procurement data and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support procurement planning by preparing and evaluating purchase requests and ensuring alignment with budget and operational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance by tracking delivery timelines, product quality, and compliance with agreed terms.
  • Optimize supplier relationships by assessing vendor reliability and recommending improvements to contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure timely procurement processes by coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to address order delays and discrepancies.
  • Evaluate market trends and pricing data by conducting research and benchmarking to identify competitive sourcing options.
  • Enhance procurement strategies by developing and maintaining databases and reports on procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies by reviewing procurement documents and verifying adherence to standards and guidelines.
  • Support audit processes by maintaining accurate records and providing necessary documentation related to procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders by providing procurement insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental objectives by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Educational Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Degree / Course: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
Behavioral Competencies: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation skills, communication, time management
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office, data analysis, market research, knowledge of procurement laws and practices

Years of Related Experience: At least 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related roles
