Job Description
- Credit Management:
- Develop and enforce credit policies and risk assessment frameworks to ensure healthy credit portfolios.
- Monitor and manage credit limits, approvals, and payment terms for clients.
- Conduct periodic reviews of customer creditworthiness and mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
- Operational Management:
- Streamline and oversee all operational processes to ensure efficiency and high service quality.
- Implement Japanese management principles (e.g., Kaizen for continuous improvement) to optimize workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational effectiveness and implement process improvements.
- Collection Management:
- Create and manage effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
- Supervise the collections team to ensure timely and respectful communication with clients.
- Monitor aging receivables and proactively address delinquent accounts to mitigate risks.
- Handle escalated collection disputes while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Japanese Business Culture Integration:
- Promote and implement Japanese business practices, emphasizing respect, transparency, and collaboration.
- Act as a cultural bridge, ensuring that Japanese values and expectations are respected and understood by the local team.
- Provide training to local staff on Japanese business etiquette and cultural nuances.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and motivate the credit, operations, and collections teams to achieve business objectives.
- Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews to monitor progress and ensure accountability.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented work environment for all team members.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all credit, operational, and collection processes adhere to company policies and local regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on credit risk exposure, collection rates, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualification- Fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience in credit, operations, and collection management roles, with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience working in or managing a Japanese firm is required, with a deep understanding of Japanese business practices, etiquette, and management principles.
- Strong track record of achieving operational efficiency and improving collection rates in a multicultural environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and risk management expertise.
