Store Manager (Supermarket Retail)

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven Store Manager to oversee daily supermarket operations, drive sales performance, and ensure excellent customer service. The role is responsible for managing staff, inventory, financial performance, and implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies to achieve business goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations, with supervisory/managerial experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing store performance
  • Knowledgeable in inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations
  • Knowledge of planogram implementation and visual merchandising standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in handling customer concerns and conflict resolution
  • With valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)
  • Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules
  • Willing to be assigned to different store locations if needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the store team in achieving 100% of sales targets and business objectives
  • Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and store activities
  • Control operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Monitor product movement, focusing on fast-moving and best-selling items
  • Ensure proper execution of marketing promotions and in-store campaigns
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain accuracy and minimize shrinkage
  • Implement and enforce security and control procedures
  • Analyze financial performance and recommend solutions to improve results
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Enforce employee discipline through coaching, counseling, and performance monitoring
  • Organize staff schedules and assign tasks with proper follow-through
  • Identify customer needs and ensure high service standards are met
  • Develop pricing strategies based on market trends and merchandising activities
  • Promote store loyalty programs and credit card applications
  • Prepare and submit weekly management reports (sales, issues, and recommendations)
  • Support store operations in other branches when required
  • Perform other duties related to the position
