Business Systems Analyst (Retail/ERP/POS)

Job Overview

The Junior Business Systems Analyst supports the company in improving operational efficiency through technology. The role focuses on analyzing, implementing, and maintaining business systems such as ERP, POS, and other enterprise applications.

The BSA works closely with business users, developers, vendors, and the IT team to ensure systems meet business requirements, operate efficiently, and support organizational goals.

1. System Analysis & Implementation

• Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements to increase efficiency.
• Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of systems such as:
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Point-of-Sale (POS)
• Warehouse and Merchandising Systems
• HR Management Systems
• Business Intelligence Tools
• Productivity and in-house applications
• Prepare business requirement documents, process flowcharts, and gap analysis.
• Coordinate with users to validate system requirements and process changes.
• Support system testing, rollout, and implementation.

1. System Testing & Deployment

• Conduct system testing to ensure functionality and accuracy.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate feedback from end-users.
• Support system rollout by preparing user manuals, training materials, and announcements.
• Monitor system performance and report issues during and after implementation.

1. Application Support & Maintenance

• Provide first-line support for ERP, POS, and other business systems.
• Troubleshoot system issues and escalate to developers or vendors when necessary.
• Monitor system updates and ensure stability after deployments.
• Manage user accounts and access permissions when required.

1. Reporting & Data Analysis

• Assist in creating reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of data used for reporting and decision-making.
• Modify reports based on user requirements and business needs.

1. User Training & Documentation

• Provide guidance and training to users on system features and processes.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including system procedures and user manuals.

1. Security & Compliance

• Support enforcement of IT security policies and data access controls.
• Assist in monitoring system access and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field
• At least 3-5 year of experience in an IT-related role
• Knowledgeable of ERP, POS systems, or business applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and productivity tools
• Experience in retail or hospitality systems is an advantage
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence or analytics tools is a plus
