Job description:

Serves as the primary clinical and commercial bridge between our cardiac surgery product portfolio and healthcare professionals across assigned territories. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through deep clinical expertise, hands-on case support, and the development of long-term relationships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and hospital procurement teams.

The ideal candidate combines the credibility of a clinical background with the commercial acumen needed to manage sales cycles — from first introduction, post-sale support, and account retention.

Core Responsibilities:

Clinical Case Support & Education
  • Provide expert bedside and intraoperative support for procedures with our cardiac surgery portfolio
  • Conduct hands-on in-service training for surgeons, perfusionists, scrub nurses, and OR staff on product use, setup, and troubleshooting
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for customer inquiries, product troubleshooting, and clinical best practices
  • Coordinate and execute professional education activities, symposiums, and proctorship programs to build clinical advocacy
Sales Growth & Territory Management
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas, market share targets, and account development KPIs
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan covering existing account retention and new account acquisition
  • Make regular visits and presentations to hospital decision-makers to assess needs, gather intelligence on market conditions, and advance sales opportunities
  • Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for capital equipment and consumable product lines within the cardiac surgery portfolio
  • Identify, qualify, and engage key buying stakeholders across procurement, clinical, operations, and finance functions
  • Manage the full sales cycle: discovery, needs assessment, proposals, ROI and total-cost-of-ownership modelling, negotiation, and contract close.
Account Management & Customer Retention
  • Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships by consistently delivering clinical value and responsive service
  • Proactively communicate new product data, clinical evidence, and procedural updates to current accounts
  • Follow up on post-sale implementation to resolve issues, ensure satisfaction, and identify upsell opportunities in consumables and service agreements
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in cardiac surgery across the territory.
Market Development & Strategy
  • Implement field marketing and market development activities aligned with business unit strategy
  • Compile and relay market intelligence — competitive landscape, pricing trends, customer feedback — to sales management and marketing teams
  • Support demand generation initiatives including national, regional, and local promotional activities
  • Assist in developing data-driven strategies using consumer analytics and market insights to grow sales and improve customer retention.
Commercial Operations
  • Perform contract and tender management activities, including preparation of proposals and coordination with legal and finance teams
  • Manage sales forecasts by account and submit to management on a regular cadence
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain to ensure product availability and timely delivery
  • Prepare sales reports, activity summaries, and account documentation as required
  • Operate within an assigned budget and report on resource utilization against plan.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Nursing, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Business, or Allied Health)
  • Clinical certifications or formal training in cardiac perfusion, surgical nursing, or related fields are a strong advantage
Experience
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a clinical product specialist, medical sales, or clinical specialist role within the medtech or healthcare industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Hands-on experience in cardiac surgery environments (operating room, cardiac ICU, perfusion lab) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing multi-stakeholder hospital relationships
