About the Role

SyncSource Global OPC is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to support our growing BPO operations in the Philippines.

This position will work directly with the Operations Manager to help oversee employees assigned to U.S.-based clients. The Assistant Operations Manager will play a key role in monitoring employee attendance, supporting payroll accuracy, communicating with clients regarding performance concerns, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate should be professional, organized, comfortable communicating with both employees and clients, and able to maintain accountability across the team.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Operations Manager will assist with daily operational oversight, including:

  • Monitoring employee time, attendance, punctuality, and schedule compliance
  • Ensuring employees assigned to U.S.-based clients are logged in, available, and working during assigned hours
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records for payroll processing and employee accountability
  • Coordinating with employees regarding absences, lateness, schedule issues, and coverage needs
  • Assisting with payroll-related timekeeping verification and reporting
  • Communicating with U.S.-based clients regarding employee performance issues, attendance concerns, and operational updates
  • Supporting the Operations Manager in addressing client feedback and escalating performance concerns when needed
  • Helping track employee productivity, reliability, communication, and professionalism
  • Assisting with employee coaching, documentation, and follow-up on performance or conduct concerns
  • Supporting onboarding of new employees and ensuring they understand schedules, attendance expectations, and client requirements
  • Preparing daily or weekly operational updates as needed
  • Helping maintain a professional, accountable, and client-focused work culture
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a BPO, virtual assistant, staffing, operations, team lead, or assistant manager role preferred
  • Experience monitoring attendance, schedules, payroll timekeeping, or workforce compliance preferred
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based clients in a professional manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work during U.S. business hours / night shift
  • Ability to handle employee performance issues professionally and confidentially
  • Dependable, mature, and able to follow through without constant supervision
  • Experience with timekeeping systems, payroll reports, attendance tracking, or client communication is a plus
