SUMMARY: BlackHawk Industrial is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager who will manage the Shared Services Human Resources function in the Philippines supporting managers in the US. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, training, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead work efforts of Shared Services personnel on all shifts
- In partnership with US direct line managers, address performance issues, performance that meets expectation or performance that is outstanding.
- Lead the full cycle recruiting efforts for Shared Services positions working with function leaders in the US.
- Work with US managers to ensure job descriptions are accurate, research compensation data and post open positions.
- Review resumes and work with the US hiring manager to evaluate candidates for interviews, participate in the interview process and provide Human Resources feedback to the hiring manager.
- Prepare offer letters that are compliant with Philippines labor laws and conduct onboarding.
- Ensure training is given on a continuous basis.
- Actively enlighten US managers on the benefits of using the Philippines as part of their Shared Services group.
- Implement and administer employee policies and processes.
- Partners with management on workforce reviews and talent development; this includes review presentation of workforce demographics analysis, metrics, reports and trends.
- Participates in HR projects and is actively involved in implementing HR programs and processes as needed.
- Maintain records for HR and ensure ADP is updated and current.
- Manage facilities and office space; this includes facilities maintenance and upkeep, managing security systems, managing office space and proper seating arrangements, and ensuring office furniture and equipment is in good working order.
- Coordinate with Safety Officer in managing Safety and Safety plans
- Coordinate with IT in managing technical support for IT related services onsite
- Perform a variety of managerial duties such as guiding the employees on site.
- Assist on the review and analysis of HMO Medical, Life and Accident Insurance selection and renewal.
- Monitors and ensure availability of transport service for employees and coordination of HR team on site with service provider guaranteeing full provision of shuttle in accordance to the company guidelines committed to employees
- Conduct meetings and coordination with US Managers on Company Guideline concerns.
- Coordinates with external partners as needed.
- Stay current and up to date of HR policies and trends through research and connections with industry trends, talent market trends and compensation package industry trends to stay competitive.
- Produces and present reports for US that are credible and accurate.
- Facilitate in coordination with US Managers on the periodic employee appraisals and performance evaluations.
- Design goals and execute programs and strategies that will encourage employee engagement, to promote employee motivation and high productivity.
- Facilitate team activities such as Team Building, Employee Christmas Gatherings, Family Day and additional Wellness activities that promote employee engagement and team work
- Create strategies that administers employee recognition to promote employee empowerment.
- Ensure business decisions and operations are aligned and in compliance with guiding laws and regulations.
- Enforcing company policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring adherence to legal and administrative guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, strong customer service and interpersonal skills and must be collaborative in nature when working with others.
- Must be self-motivated and pro-active in all aspects of the role.
- Must have proven ability to problem solve and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication (written, verbal, listening, and presentation) skills.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and able to be flexible with changing priorities while producing quality work with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate as a team player.
- Requires strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and HRIS systems.
- Willing to work both on US time and Phil time.
- Good knowledge of the different business functions

- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, mediate and arbitrate.
- Prefer 7-10 plus years of experience in a Human Resources related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development Management, Organizational Development, or any related course.
- Prefer 2 or more years of Human Resources management experience, preferably reporting to a US Corporate office.
