Senior Barista / Pastry Chef

Job Description

KROUŽEK is seeking experienced and dedicated professionals to join our team as a Senior Barista and Pastry Chef. The ideal candidates are passionate about quality, consistency, and delivering excellent customer experience in a fast-paced café environment.

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, matcha, and specialty beverages
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and service standards
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and bar equipment
• Lead and train junior baristas
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Assist in beverage development and menu improvements
• Handle basic cashiering and POS transactions when needed

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a barista in a café or restaurant
• Knowledge of espresso calibration, milk texturing, and brewing techniques
• Experience with commercial espresso machines (La Marzocco is an advantage)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Cashier/POS experience is an advantage (Sunlink system is a plus)

• Prepare and bake pastries, including KROUŽEK’s signature chimney cakes
• Ensure product consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
• Manage kitchen preparation, inventory, and quality control
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food safety standards
• Assist in product development and seasonal menu creation
• Support front-of-house operations when needed, including basic cashiering

• Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker
• Knowledge in dough preparation, baking techniques, and dessert production
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Creative and innovative mindset
• Cashier/POS experience is an advantage
