Facility Maintenance Specialist

Job Description:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of company facilities. This role ensures that the infrastructure of the property is safe, up to code, and fully operational.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with external contractors to schedule and monitor routine building maintenance duties, such as painting, electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, plumbing and air-conditioning.
2. Building Inspection: Regularly inspect buildings for any damage or wear and tear, and identify areas that need repair or replacement.
3. Janitorial Supervision: Oversee janitorial staff and ensure that all cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation standards are met.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all company buildings comply with local building regulations and obtain annual permits as required.
6. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors when specialized work is required.
7. Record Keeping: Keep a log of maintenance and repair work to track the upkeep of the property.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in building maintenance coordination or supervision.
2. Knowledge of building systems and infrastructure.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
