Guidance counselor - Quezon City - ref. x37216019

To provide valuable assistance to the Guidance Director in planning, implementing and evaluating the guidance and counseling programs of the University as well as conduct guidance and counseling among students.

DUTIES:

• Performs duties and responsibilities of a full time counselor for individuals and groups;
• Conducts counseling sessions by appointment as referred by departments or offices such as OSA or to walk-ins;
• Records/transcribes counseling sessions in counseling journal after each session;
• Prepares psychological reports and counseling notes, as needed;
• Checks and ensures that weekly targets of unit are met;
• Distributes call slips when necessary for upcoming week’s sessions;
• Coordinates and conducts guidance classes and activities like symposia, seminars, enrichment programs, group dynamics, exposures, outreach programs and dialogues;
• Prepares and submits accomplishment reports to Counseling Head;
• Coordinates, cooperates, and consults with Guidance Head and other Guidance Counselors regarding work flow and activities of the department and guidance program;
• Assists people in overcoming constraints to their full personal and professional development;
• Gathers and organizes data of students for inventory and planning interventions;
• Conducts lectures and workshops to selected participants in adopted communities;
• Assists in conduct of needs assessment survey, collation and interpretation of responses, as well as in career education of students;
• Collects and prepares guidance information materials and disseminates them to students through guidance classes, career development seminars and the like;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; preferably with Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling
• Registered Guidance Counselor
• At least 2 years job related experience
• Computer literacy; knowledge on guidance and counselling, testing, seminar facilitation, scoring and interpretation, Leadership and People-management skills
