JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Manages the end-to-end movement of goods, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch operations.
- Maintains a well-organized warehouse layout by optimizing racking systems, storage capacity, and operational processes.
- Leads and monitors warehouse staff in the proper handling of food and non-food inventory.
- Ensures sufficient availability of materials to support production requirements and customer deliveries.
- Oversees receiving, shipping, handling, and storage activities to maintain inventory accuracy and product quality.
- Monitors inventory levels, delivery schedules, and overall warehouse performance.
- Develops, implements, and reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Performs routine physical inventory counts and reconciles any discrepancies.
- Prepares and submits inventory variance reports in a timely manner.
- Reviews warehouse documentation and reports to monitor inventory status and accuracy.
- Collaborates with the Planning Department on purchase requests, inventory forecasting, and delivery scheduling.
- Ensures fast-moving and promotional items are monitored and reported promptly.
- Prevents stock shortages through effective planning and close coordination with the Planning team.
- Develops and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in inventory management processes.
- Handles and prioritizes warehouse-related complaints to ensure timely resolution.
- Promptly escalates issues to the appropriate department heads for immediate action.
- Maintains records and statistical reports of complaints while working closely with the team to resolve issues early.
- Implements corrective and preventive actions for all reported complaints.
- Ensures safe and efficient warehouse operations while meeting customer requirements and service demands.
- Enforces food safety standards, cleanliness, and sanitation procedures within the warehouse.
- Implements policies, guidelines, and work instructions in compliance with Food Safety and Quality standards.
- Monitors workplace safety practices and promotes an accident-free working environment.
- Monitors operational costs, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness to ensure efficient warehouse performance.
- Ensures departmental objectives are aligned with the company’s overall profitability and business goals.
- Screens and evaluates applicants for vacant departmental positions.
- Reports violations of the Company’s Code of Ethics and recommends appropriate disciplinary measures.
- Assesses employee performance and recommends changes in employment status when necessary.
- Conducts regular team meetings to discuss operational updates, concerns, complaints, and employee grievances.
- Develops and implements initiatives to motivate employees and enhance overall performance and productivity.
- Participates in the review and improvement of inventory management policies and procedures.
- Supports the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Inventory Module.
- Demonstrates full commitment and active participation in assigned projects and initiatives.
- Assists in training team members and subordinates on the new inventory system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Business-related courses such as Economics or Business Administration, or any equivalent field.
Experience: Must have at least five (5) years of solid work experience in the food industry, with a minimum of two (2) years in the same or a similar position/capacity.
Training/Licenses/Certifications:
- Proficient in operating warehouse equipment such as hand pallet trucks, forklifts, and other material handling tools.
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and data entry systems.
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of conducting and participating in training programs.
- Demonstrates management skills in supervising and coordinating team activities.
