About the role
AMA Computer College Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Instructor for the BSIT Program to join our academic team in Malvar St., Davao City. As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of information technology professionals by delivering high-quality education, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving technology sector.
Key responsibilities- Design, develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions for BSIT program courses in accordance with the approved curriculum
- Create and maintain comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, quizzes and examinations that align with learning objectives
- Assess student performance through a variety of methods including exams, assignments, projects and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Mentor and guide students academically, providing support during office hours and helping them understand complex technical concepts
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in information technology education to keep curriculum relevant and engaging
- Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to ensure curriculum coherence and interdisciplinary integration
- Participate in curriculum review and development initiatives to continuously improve the BSIT program offerings
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and academic progress as required by institutional policies
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is preferred)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in the information technology industry or IT-related field
- Proven teaching or training experience in an educational institution, corporate training environment or equivalent setting
- Strong proficiency in core IT concepts including programming languages, database management, networking, systems administration and software development methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to diverse student audiences
- Proficiency in using learning management systems, educational technology tools and digital platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple courses, assessments and student interactions simultaneously
- Passion for education and commitment to student success, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners
- Familiarity with Philippine educational standards and K-12 to higher education transition framework is advantageous
