Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Book Interior Designer to craft visually appealing, readable, and professional layouts for both print and digital publications. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for typography, layout design, and storytelling through visual structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and format book interiors for print and digital editions
- Collaborate with authors, editors, and project managers to achieve the desired creative vision
- Select fonts, spacing, and layout styles that enhance readability and reflect the book’s tone
- Arrange text, images, tables, and other elements in a cohesive and balanced layout
- Ensure consistency in style, formatting, and pagination across all sections
- Prepare final files according to publishing and printing specifications
- Review proofs and make revisions before final production
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and book design principles
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other relevant publishing tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Creative eye for aesthetics with a focus on functionality and readability
- Knowledge of print production and digital publishing standards (advantageous)
