Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, supporting audits, and supervising accounting staff to uphold compliance and efficiency across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax-related activities.
- Support quarterly and year-end financial audits, as well as the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Evaluate current accounting practices and procedures; recommend and implement improvements for greater efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and mentor accounting staff by setting goals, providing training, and fostering strong working relationships.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting during audit periods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to build employee relationships and manage performance effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial and ERP systems is a plus.
