Senior Accounting Manager

The role leads the accounting team in managing financial reporting, general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and month-end and year-end closing processes. The position also supports strategic financial planning and decision-making through timely and accurate financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to management.

• Monitor patient billing, professional fee collections, HMO receivables, corporate accounts, and government claims.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of revenues from inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and ancillary services.
• Oversee aging of receivables and collection efforts to improve cash flow.
• Coordinate with operational departments regarding revenue cycle management issues.

• Supervise accounts payable processes and ensure timely payment of suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Monitor cash flow requirements and recommend strategies for optimal fund utilization.
• Ensure proper controls over disbursements and cash management activities.

• Assist in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Support management in forecasting and financial planning initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, PhilHealth, DOH, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard hospital assets.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
• Ensure proper documentation and retention of financial records.

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting supervisors and staff.
• Establish performance goals and monitor team performance.
• Promote continuous process improvement and operational efficiency within the accounting department.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Participate in organizational projects related to process improvement, system implementation, and business expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads on financial and operational matters.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• At least 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the healthcare or hospital industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience handling HMO receivables, PhilHealth claims, and healthcare revenue cycle processes is an advantage.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
