Job Summary: This role will play a key role on the Finance Team preparing, analyzing, and improving financial reporting.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and improving financial reporting and analysis to deliver accurate, actionable insights to the leadership team. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong understanding of financial statements, data analysis, and reporting processes to support business decision-making.Additionally, this role will drive process improvement initiatives and enhance source data through technology, ensuring continuous optimization of financial reporting.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting- Prepare and analyze financial reports, recommending and implementing simplification and improvements as new technology and infrastructure is added.
- Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP and management accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of lender and management reports.
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with internal departments to gather forecast assumptions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by helping review and reconcile financial data with initial focus on vendor-related spend.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Identify trends, variances, and discrepancies in financial data and provide insights to management.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years prior experience in financial planning, analysis, and/or accounting.
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP system.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as PowerBI.
