Procurement Contracts Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise for the development of contracts for Strategic, Core, Managed, and Blanket Suppliers with emphasis on compliance.
- Collaborates with the Category Manager to develop, communicate, and execute contracting and negotiation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develops and formulates contracts and amendments, including Terms & Conditions (T&C), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and monitoring indices, using corporate standards, templates, and best practices.
- Prepares contractual documentation and background data to support negotiations, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on contract terms.
- Reviews contracts for completeness and works with Legal, Finance, Insurance, and Risk Management to address risks and ensure proper approvals and vendor signatories.
- Identifies and assesses contract-related risks to minimize financial exposure and ensure effective execution and implementation.
- Manages contract adjustments, including renegotiation and modifications due to market changes or supplier requests, with proper business justification documentation.
- Evaluates contracts based on annual plans to determine extension, renewal, or termination, ensuring compliance with bonds, insurance, and audit monitoring systems.
- Ensures on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery by executing sourcing activities in line with procurement policies, including demand planning, cost optimization, and minimizing change orders.
- Reviews and validates specifications, scope of work, performance terms, acceptance criteria, and budget; conducts bidding, analyzes quotations, and endorses for technical evaluation.
- Prepares, issues, and manages Purchase Orders (POs) and contracts within authority limits; monitors deliveries and resolves issues such as delays, shortages, and unserved POs.
- Ensures compliance with local and international agreements by collaborating with Legal on terms, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving contract implementation issues.
- Optimizes sourcing and vendor management by leveraging vendor agreements, preventing maverick buying, strengthening supplier relationships, monitoring SLA/KPI compliance, and driving continuous process improvements for customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Law, Political Science, Stat, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. MBA or Supply Chain certifications or equivalent, a plus but not required
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain/Procurement operations (Preferably in Oil and gas & Geothermal Operations requirements)
- Experience in Vendor management
- Experience in strategic sourcing
- Experience in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) processes
- Experience in contract management
- Experience in management and deployment of procurement processes
