John Kelly & Company is a growing management consulting and corporate advisory firm based in Cebu. We assist businesses in strengthening governance, compliance, and structured operations.

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support office operations, HR coordination, and corporate documentation.

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Associate supports financial operation by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards while supporting the consultants and management in financial decision-making.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. FINANCIAL RECORD KEEPING
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately (i.e income, expenses, journal entries)
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  1. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND RECEIVABLE
  • Proper invoices, payment and expense report.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments.
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues.
  1. BANK AND ACCOUNT RECONCILIATION
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Verify accuracy of financial data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Assist in correcting discrepancies.
  1. FINANCIAL REPORTING
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Support Budget tracking and financial analysis
  • Provide data for management reports and decision making.
  1. COMPLIANCE AND AUDIT SUPPORT
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and company procedures.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Track and verify business expenses.
  1. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
  • Maintain organized accounting files and records
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters
  • Assist in improving accounting processes and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or any related field.
  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  6. Willingness to learn and adapt in a consulting environment.
  7. With or without experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  8. Performed other related duties as assigned (flexible role)
