Senior Project Engineer -Mechanical/Electrical (Project Based)

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The role involves monitoring, recording, and reporting the progress of completed works through Daily Logs and Weekly Accomplishment Reports (WAR). Additional responsibilities include overseeing schedule updates and verifying billable work items.

• Project Inspection and Monitoring: Perform regular inspections of simple to moderate projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and standards.
• Coordination with Consultants: Supervise and monitor consultants engaged for construction management and engineering tasks.
• Joint Inspections: Conduct joint inspections with contractors, project proponents, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Contract Compliance: Monitor contractors’ adherence to contract agreement and quality standards, including the preparation and review of Daily Logs and Accomplishment Reports.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health policies. Issue necessary advisories, memos, and notices for non-compliance.
• Site Readiness: Oversee and confirm site readiness for major construction activities such as concrete pouring, hydrotesting, equipment commissioning, and other relevant operations.
• Inspection and Verification: Review and verify the accuracy of contractor-submitted drawings, reports, and other deliverables.
• Testing Oversight: Witness and document the testing of project materials, equipment, and systems as specified in contract requirements. Issue Resolution: Address site-related issues and resolve concerns related to contractor performance and project progress.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as assigned by project management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

• Minimum of three (3) – five (5) years of experience in Project/Construction-related works Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) and/or Construction Occupational Safety & Health (COSH) training is an advantage.

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new software applications.
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret Plans, Drawings, Specifications, Schedule of Prices, Measurement and Payment, including Contractor’s Quality, Environmental and Safety Plan
• Knowledgeable in Construction Management (project scheduling such as PERT-CPM, S-Curve, and MS Project)
• Preferably with comprehension of other engineering disciplines
