Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist ensures the efficient and accurate delivery of payroll services to all stakeholders — including entities, regions, and employees — in line with agreed Service Level Targets. The role is responsible for executing timely and compliant end-to-end payroll processes while addressing employee needs across all People & Culture (P&C) areas in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
As the Payroll Specialist under the area of P&C, you will:
- Review and validate payroll-related data in all systems within JTI scope. Perform corrections in the payroll system as required.
- Verify completeness and reconcile payroll reports with posted amounts; ensure accurate records are maintained in the system.
- Execute and support on-cycle payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Validate single and mass updates in payroll records, including recurring and one-time payments/deductions.
- Review and validate payroll reports, taking appropriate action to resolve data issues and anomalies.
- Process mass updates to payroll records (e.g., deductions, allowances, one-time payments). And manage end-to-end payroll processes in coordination with the payroll team (e.g., run reports, perform analysis).
- Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related inquiries from stakeholders.
- Manage final pay calculations and processing, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. This includes timely and accurate computation of final entitlements such as last salary, unused leave, bonuses, deductions, and issuing the final paycheck.
Requirements:
- Over 3 years’ experience in a multinational organization in a similar role, with hands on SAP HR experience. Strong experience in P&C administration.
- University degree (Bachelor, Master’s).
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Profound knowledge of Payroll processes. Highly analytical, proactive, resourceful and can work under pressure. Strong knowledge of Payroll principles is required. Excellent understanding of Payroll needs, Statutory reporting requirements, etc.
- Strong SAP CRM knowledge. Strong Customer Service Mindset. Understanding cross-cultural sensitivity.
