We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that construction projects are completed within budget and in compliance with legal and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
Evaluate and manage project costs from inception to completion.
Measure quantities and value the work done on-site.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Negotiate contracts and work with legal and procurement teams.
Certify contractor and subcontractor payments and valuations.
Track variations and change orders, and assess their cost implications.
Produce regular reports on project cost performance and forecasts.
Advise on contractual claims and disputes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2–6 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation.
Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Candy, AutoCAD, MS Excel).
Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
