Position Title: Subscriber Line Installation and Repair TechnicianDepartment: Operations – Service Delivery
Reports To: Service Operations and Dispatch Coordinator / Project Management Head
Work Location: Field Assignments (NCR, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao as needed)
Work Schedule: Operational Schedule may require extended hours, weekends, or holidays depending on operations
Employment Status: Probationary
JOB SUMMARY
Executes on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure in accordance with technical standards and safety protocols.
Ensures reliable service delivery by completing assigned work orders accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational performance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform installation of fiber optic lines, equipment, and related telecom infrastructure
- Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of network issues and service disruptions
- Execute assigned job orders based on daily dispatch schedules
- Conduct site inspections and validate technical requirements prior to installation
- Ensure proper handling and usage of tools, equipment, and materials
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and operational procedures during fieldwork
- Coordinate with Dispatch Coordinator for updates, job completion, and issue escalation
- Document completed work, including installation details, repairs, and materials used
- Assist in testing and commissioning of installed systems
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism at job sites
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Direct Supervisor: Service Operations and Dispatch Coordinator / Project Delivery HeadDirect Reports: None
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS / PROBATIONARY CRITERIA
The employee shall be evaluated based on the following key standards:

- Achievement of assigned KPIs or service targets
Additional Role-Specific Standards:
- Number of completed installations/repairs per schedule
- First-time fix rate (accuracy of repairs without repeat visits)
- Compliance with safety protocols (zero major violations)
- Timeliness in completing assigned job orders
- Proper documentation of completed work
- Customer feedback and professionalism at job sites
WORKING CONDITIONS AND TOOLS
Equipment / Systems Used- Fiber optic tools (fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter, etc.)
- Hand tools and installation equipment
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Mobile communication tools (phone, Viber)
- Job order and reporting systems
Qualifications/Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education- At least Technical-Vocational Diploma or relevant certification (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field)
- No relevant work experience required
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic installation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hand tools and telecom equipment
- Ability to read basic technical drawings or instructions
- Basic electrical and network troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and standards
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to work in field and physically demanding environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Team-oriented and cooperative
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
