Your Role as Accounting Assistant
As an Accounting Assistant, you'll work closely with Accountants and Auditors to support day-to-day finance operations. Expect to get hands-on with everything from invoice processing to reconciliations and financial reports.
What You’ll Be Doing- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable invoices
- Assist with transaction reconciliation and tax return preparation
- Track income and expenses, ensuring all data is accurate
- Validate bank accounts and perform regular report reconciliations
- Collaborate with team members on audits and financial reviews
- Maintain and update financial records with confidentiality
- Perform data entry, word processing, and document tracking
- Ensure compliance with accounting rules, policies, and standards
Requirements
What You’ll Need- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field
- Experience as an Accounting Associate or in a similar role
- Familiarity with tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, and HubDoc
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trustworthy when handling confidential information
