As a Legal Assistant, you'll be an essential part of legal teams, supporting the Legal Head, the paralegal, and other professionals. Your role involves a mix of administrative tasks, legal research, and document management. Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation and Review:
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
- Collaborate with the Legal Head and Paralegal to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain version control and organize revisions.
- Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Use legal databases to find relevant information.
- Prepare concise summaries of legal findings.
- Client Interaction and Communication:
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, and external parties.
- Schedule appointments, follow up on inquiries, and relay messages.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage Legal Head calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
- Prepare meeting materials, including agendas and relevant documents.
- Handle routine administrative tasks (phone calls, emails, filing).
- Compliance and Regulatory Assistance:
- Stay informed about SEC, PAGCOR, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist in compliance matters, such as filing reports or maintaining corporate records.
- Monitor changes in legal requirements and update internal procedures accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Management or any related field.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in legal research tools (both online databases and print resources).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal terminology specific to the Philippines.
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php45,000.00 per month
