Duties and Responsibilities

The Accounting Associate will support the Senior Accountant in day-to-day accounting operations until processes are fully normalized. Key responsibilities include:

  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents for third-party commissions, including computation of applicable taxes prior to processing for release
  • Confirm correctness of commission amounts, particularly when pre-approved figures have been amended
  • Prepare commission and incentive computations (Materials Commission, Selling Premium, Labor Commission, Material Incentives, and Labor Incentives) for approval by authorized signatories
  • Prepare Payment Request Forms and bank transmittals for approval
  • Process commission and incentive payments through the RCBC EZ Payroll system
  • Generate and forward required text files to the bank for payment processing
  • Transmit signed Authority to Debit forms and bank transmittals to the bank for employee crediting
  • Prepare and disseminate commission and incentive details to Sales Engineers, Supervisors, Assistant Managers, and Managers
  • Prepare monthly withholding tax summaries for commissions and incentives per APV and forward them to designated personnel
  • Prepare and distribute monthly dispatch reports for Sales Engineers eligible for transportation incentives
  • Update, monitor, and maintain various tracking reports, including but not limited to:
  • Materials commission database
  • Downgrades/Seconds monitoring
  • Labor commission database
  • Monthly dispatch monitoring
  • Selling premium incentives monitoring
  • Monthly summary of claimed commissions and incentives
  • Previously held commissions monitoring
  • Threshold monitoring
  • Deductions and advances monitoring
  • Annual summary of claimed commissions and incentives
  • Maintain and organize monthly commission and incentive files
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the department
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience in general accounting and payroll tax
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), as well as Microsoft Word and accounting software
