German Language Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and qualified German Language Teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective German language lessons to students at various proficiency levels (A1–B2 or higher), helping them develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching, culturally aware, and committed to helping students achieve their language goals, particularly those preparing for work, study, or migration to Germany. The teacher will also work closely and coordinate with the Lead German Native Teacher to ensure the quality and consistency of instruction.

• Plan and deliver structured German language lessons aligned with the CEFR framework (A1–B2).
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom activities that encourage student participation.
• Conduct assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help improve their language proficiency.
• Prepare students for German language exams such as Goethe, TELC, or ÖSD.
• Maintain accurate student attendance and progress records.
• Create a supportive and motivating learning environment.
• Coordinate regularly with the Lead German Native Teacher regarding lesson plans, curriculum implementation, teaching strategies, and student progress.
• Implement feedback and guidance from the Lead German Native Teacher to ensure teaching standards are met.
• Assist in curriculum development and improvement of teaching materials.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school events when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in German Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in German (B2–C1 or higher).
• Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience teaching German as a Foreign Language (DaF) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management and teaching abilities.
• Ability to explain complex grammar concepts clearly.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.
• Organized and reliable with good time management skills.
• Ability to teach both online and in-person classes is an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the Lead German Native Teacher and the academic team.

• Goethe, TELC, or other German language certification.
• Experience preparing students for language exams or migration to Germany.
• Previous experience teaching adults or professionals.
