Job Summary:

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
2. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with government regulations (BIR, SEC, LGU, etc.).
3. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
4. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
5. Reconcile bank statements and oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
6. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
7. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent discrepancies.
8. Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to improve efficiency and performance.
9. Work closely with management to develop financial strategies and cost-saving measures.
10. Stay updated on tax laws, financial regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. (BSA, BSBA-Accounting)
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of BIR regulations, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
